As many of you all know, Ty has been dealing with headaches and other memory issues over the last few months. He had an MRI preformed and on Monday March 29th he was told he has a baseball sized tumor located at the frontal region of his brain. On Thursday April 1st they met with doctors at the Mayo Clinic and decided that removal was the best course of action. On Thursday April 14th, Ty underwent a 7 hour surgery to remove the tumor.
He is currently at Mayo Clinic resting and recuperating at this time. His next steps as of right now will include inpatient rehab at Mayo Clinic while he works with physical, occupational and speech therapists to regain a lot of his speech and mobility. He will have a long road ahead of him in the next few months.
We are trying to raise funds to help out Ty's family during this time. Ty and his wife Jenna recently welcomed their first child, Brooks, back in February. Luckily Jenna, Brooks, and other members of his extended family have been able to be there with him.
The next several months will be extremely challenging, both physically and emotionally, for Ty and his family. Inevitably this will have a large financial impact with medical bills, commuting to Mayo, time off work, ect.
Many people have reached out and asked how they can help. We felt this would be the best option
Ty and his family are extremely grateful for the outreach and support they have received since receiving the news in March.
