Ty needs a LUCKY break
Donation protected
Hi. My name is Monica, and I'm raising money to help cover hospital bills for my friend Ty.
us, circa 2004
You might remember him from his previous GoFundMe for his colon cancer diagnosis. THANK YOU btw, to everyone who contributed. With your support and well wishes, Ty was able to complete treatment and beat his colon cancer!!! His colonoscopy last year was clear, and he was able to go back to work and land on his feet, thanks to the family and friends that helped him along his journey.
Unfortunately, while on his way to work last week, Ty was hit by a truck, leaving both of his lower legs broken, just below the knees. The right side faired better than the left, not needing surgery to heal. His left tibia, however, required surgery, (including a cadaver bone!) and a lengthy period of 12-16 weeks for healing. There are currently plans for him to discharge to rehab as he'll be non-weight baring for a bit of time.
This means Ty, who works in the food service industry, will not be able to work for the next few months, which can be absolutely devastating considering hospital bills, as well as his stay at rehab.
Please, any amount helps and is welcomed. We understand things are tough now , and that prices keep going up all around. If now is not a good time to contribute financially, please consider share Ty's GFM page.
Thank you again for your continued support and prayers for Ty,
Hoping this will be his last GFM (meaning no more medical emergencies!),
Monica

"Lift the sheet any higher and I'll have to charge you" he says.
He'll likely need new wheels in a few months. This will do for now.
They recovered his bike from the intersection, please be aware of cyclists on the road
Handlebars gone, but grateful that injuries were kept below the knees only.
Just because I didn't want the last pic to be so gloomy or woeful.
