I write this with the heaviest hearts in tribute to the passing of Ty Jackson. While these last few years have been challenging, he faced his difficulties with such vigor and inner drive. He refused to have his life defined by any illness. Ty was a man of dignity, ambition and honesty. His true strength came from his heart, and many years ago, we worked together at a media company. It was my first real job and first firing. I was devastated. The next day, Ty came to my house with a cart full of food. I could never replay the kindness he provided with the simplest of gestures to someone he barely knew. He always paid it followed.

I am writing this gofundme page to give some of that friendship back and to help his family pay for the funeral cost and headstone. All funds raised will go to Ty’s niece, Janelle Jackson.

The viewing will be on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the George H. Weldon Funeral Home, Inc. located at 343 East 116th Street, New York, NY 10029. Due to covid19, there will be limited viewing on Saturday for two hours only. Please contact the family directly regarding specific viewing times.

Ty Jackson will be laid to rest at Forest Green Park Cemetery 535 Texas Road, Morganville, NJ 07751.
