Ty & El’s medical expenses

Hi, my name is Tay (Ty’s twin sister). Myself and Meg (Ty and El’s sister-in-law) are starting this GoFundMe to help Ty & El with any medical bills and living expenses the past week has caused while Ellie has been in the hospital.

As many know, Ellie went into the Monticello ER last Sunday morning. They quickly realized she was having serious heart issues and she was transferred to St. Cloud where she stayed over night in their ICU. The next day she was getting worse and they also realized that she should go somewhere better fit for what she was going through and she was transferred again to Abbott’s Heart Hospital in Minneapolis.

While at Abbott, Ellie had lots of tests and multiple procedures done. She had fluid around her heart that needed to be drained and she was also put on Ecmo and remained on Ecmo for a few days to help her heart and other organs rest and not have to work so hard. She was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Myocarditis. When diagnosed with this, there typically is an underlying disease that causes it so Ellie had a bone marrow biopsy to test for any underlying diseases and everything came back negative, which is possibly the best case scenario.

Ellie has a lot of recovery and resting to do once she gets home and we are trying to make things less stressful and easier on them while they heal and focus on taking care of their son Rhett.
