My mom passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 17th. Amidst the grief and shock, my siblings and I are struggling with the financial means to give her a proper memorial and final resting place. The funds we hope we raise will also go towards placing my grandmother’s urn in a niche next door to my mom. Our wish is that they will be able to stay together forever. I know my grandmother met her at the gates to heaven.

My mom was the type of person who would do anything for those she loved, and she poured her love into her kids. We want to honor her in the best way possible by giving her a beautiful memorial. It’s been emotionally taxing trying to determine what she would have wanted, but I know she would be so relieved at the outpouring of love and comfort we have received from friends and family. So thank you to anyone who donates, sends messages of comfort, or prayers.

Father God, even in my sorrow, I want to thank You for the precious gift of my mother’s love. She was a reflection of Your kindness, patience, and grace in my life. Thank You for the years I had with her and for the countless ways she touched my heart. Help me to honor her memory by living a life that reflects the love she poured into me. And Lord, let me find comfort in knowing that one day, I will see her again in Your presence. Amen.
