Help with Emergency medical costs

my name is Lucius I am 19 years old. What I thought would be a fun weekend at knotfest with my friend turned horribly wrong.

During one of slipknots songs as I was moshing in the pit I was punched in the face and knocked unconscious, I have no idea who or why they did this.

This caused me to remain unconscious for 40-60 seconds on the pit floor being trampled by a huge crowd of people, I count my lucky stars that I am alive one wrong stomp and I would be dead.

The lead singer Corey stopped the show so security and paramedics could get to me safely and bring me to the medical tent.

I was confused and dazed and couldn’t speak to tell them my name or what happened. Due to head injury’s, whiplash and the inability to stand or speak on my own they put me in an ambulance.

My friend and I got separated before the accident so she wasn’t there to help me, I was conveying to the paramedics that I didn’t want to go to hospital, but they didn’t seem to understand my slurred speech. After 20m of sitting in the ambulance my friend had found me and for another 20 I kept telling them I didn’t want to go as I was worried about the cost.

The paramedic promptly and confidently told me that the ambulance was covered by the venue so I wouldn’t have to pay for it.

Only after I was told this did I reluctantly allow them to take me to hospital.

3 weeks later still recovering from fractured ribs whiplash and a concussion, I received a bill in the mail for nearly $1500 ($1396) to be exact.

i have tried contacting both venue and ambulance company and it seems they can’t really do anything about it. So now it’s on me. If I put away everything I make in a month. Pay no bills, no rent, no food, I might be able to afford it.

however this is impractical and I can’t do anything about it as hard as it is to admit I can’t do this alone.
