For Bethany
Today, my niece Bethany should be celebrating her 13th birthday, growing into a beautiful, rebellious teenager.
Tragically, she will forever be the perfect baby who died in her mum's arms in 2012, just a few hours old. I couldn't possibly put into words how ready our family was to welcome her into our world, how full of love we were before she was even born, and how hard it was, especially for my brave brother Lee and sister-in-law Jo, to have to say goodbye when we'd only just said hello.
In Bethany's honour, on the day she was born, I am making a donation to a charity who help bereaved parents, and anyone affected by the death of baby - Sands (Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Society). They do so much good in people's darkest times.
No pressure, I understand that everyone has causes and charities especially close to their heart and that's absolutely fine, but if you would like to give even £1 to this brilliant charity today, I can't tell you how much it would mean to me (and to Lee and Jo).
If anyone reading this has lost a baby, you have my love, and to Lee and Jo - you were then, and still are, amazing, and Bethany is with us always x
