Aloha family and friends! In August of 2022, we received the heart-breaking news that our cousin Brandon Rivera was diagnosed with brain cancer. Since being diagnosed, Brandon has been going to multiple dr’s appts, including chemo therapy. Soon after chemo is complete, Brandon will need Radiation. However, the radiation they provide here on island is too aggressive for his body to handle. His medical team is suggesting that he undergo a less aggressive treatment via Proton Radiation. Unfortunately, the technology and equipment are not available here in Hawaii. Therefore, he will need to complete his therapy at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona which is scheduled for early January 2023 for 5 weeks. Our Brandon is worthy of this opportunity, and he surely deserves normalcy back in his life.
