Helping Stella

Hi, My name is Danielle Smith and I am Stella's babysitter/nanny/Nini. I have been lucky to be apart of Stella's life for the last 3 years. She always has a smile on her face and frankly is full of sassiness! She loves dance, Barbies, fishing and anything to do with being outside.

She has struggled with her kidneys and chronic constipation since I have known her. In the last few weeks her GI team in Iowa City made the decision to transfer her care to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH. Nationwide is the top pediatric colorectal hospital in the country. They have a plan for her and some tests and procedures that are going to be done to check muscles, colon, intestines and other parts of her bottom. Brady and Danielle have a tentative date of March 13 to be in Ohio. (They are waiting on the final insurance approval.) The plan is for them to be there for 10 days to start. They are hoping to stay at the Ronald McDonald house to help with expenses but it is first come first serve. I am asking for help for expenses that come with a hospital stay so long and out of state. Gas, food, lost wages and possible hotel expenses will add up quickly. If you are able and find it in your heart, please help Brady and Danielle with the expenses that will be coming up so Stella can get back to being a fun, crazy, happy 4 year old girl.
