On July 4th, our dear friend Robert Canning—a devoted husband, small business owner, and lifelong outdoorsman—suffered a devastating accident. A fireworks mishap resulted in the amputation of his right hand, forever altering the life of a man who has always used his hands to build, work, and help others.
Unfortunately, Robert's health insurance is not covering the extensive medical bills or the cost of a prosthetic. As he begins the long road to recovery, we're asking for your support to help him regain his independence, provide for his family, and return to doing what he loves.
You may have spent time with Robert from a day fishing out on the water, a hunting trip in the woods, or working alongside him at his family-run business, Premier Vending. You may be a friend, a customer, a colleague—or someone who’s experienced his unwavering generosity firsthand. If you know Robert, chances are you have a story about how he showed up for you or someone you love. His loyalty, kindness, and work ethic define him.
Now, Robert needs us to show up for him.
Every contribution—no matter the size—will go directly toward medical care, a prosthetic hand, and support for Robert’s recovery journey. Together, we can help him get back to the life he loves: fixing machines in the shop, casting a line from the boat, trekking through the woods, and making new memories with family and friends.
Thank you for standing with Robert in this difficult time.
