My name is Jennifer. I’m a single mom of four, including one amazing, high-support-needs teen with profound autism. For years I’ve fought to get him the therapies and services he needs — and I’ve always put my children first. Right now, though, I’m the one who needs help.
I’ve been battling a severe eating disorder that has already led to multiple hospitalizations — one of them in the ICU. My doctors say I need a higher level of care to survive and recover. I’ve searched everywhere for help, but without insurance and with programs requiring tens of thousands of dollars, I keep hitting dead ends. Because I can’t get the inpatient treatment I need right now, I’m trying to fund safe, medically supervised alternatives and the basics that will keep my family housed and fed while I get well.
I am currently under the care of doctors — including a cardiologist — but the treatment I’m receiving is limited and not specialized for severe eating disorders. The ongoing monitoring and evaluations I need take time to arrange, often require referrals, and usually demand upfront costs I cannot meet. That gap in timely, specialized care is part of why I am raising money: to access medically supervised treatment and to make sure my children and I remain safe and stable during this fight.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward:
- Transportation to and from appointments
- Basic living expenses while I am unable to work — rent, utilities, and bills so my kids have a stable home
- Immediate medical needs and follow-up care
My kids need their mom. I want to live. I want to recover. I just need help getting there.
If you can donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you can’t donate, sharing this with others would mean the world. Your support matters more than I can ever express.
With gratitude,
Jennifer
