Todd’s Welfare Society exists for one reason: to rescue, shelter, and protect animals who have been abandoned, abused, or left with nowhere else to go. Every animal in our care depends on us completely—for food, shelter, medical treatment, and safety.
The Crisis: Mass Culling Drives Non-Stop Rescues
Over the past few months, our team on the ground has been responding to a relentless wave of emergencies due to widespread dog culling across the city. Street dogs in Pakistan face severe neglect and violent culling campaigns, leaving countless innocent animals targeted, poisoned, or severely injured. Dogs such as Tina who survived poisoning and now reside at the shelter.
In a desperate bid to protect these vulnerable animals, our team has been carrying out non-stop, round-the-clock rescues. We refuse to leave them behind to face painful deaths, but taking in scores of desperate, traumatized, and injured dogs at once has pushed our resources far past their limits. These include orphan pups who's mothers were poisoned and they were left to starve on the streets
Why We Need Your Urgent Help
Because of the sheer volume of emergency rescues we have taken on to save dogs from culling, our costs for transport, emergency medical intervention, quarantine care, and daily nourishment have gone through the roof.
We are now facing a severe financial crisis and are £10,000 in debt. The weight of these mounting unpaid expenses threatens our ability to keep our sanctuary operational.
Every single animal in our care relies on us entirely for safety, medical care, and daily food. Without immediate relief, these unpaid invoices endanger the entire sanctuary and every animal who relies on us as their only safe haven.
Where Your Donations Will Go
Your support will directly clear our outstanding debts and secure the immediate operational needs of our sanctuary and rescue operations:
Outstanding Emergency Veterinary Bills: Clearing overdue clinic invoices, complex surgeries, and ongoing intensive medical treatment for critically injured and sick animals currently in our care.
Lifelong Protection for Vulnerable Animals: Securing long-term care and shelter for disabled, blind, elderly, and traumatized animals who simply cannot survive on the harsh streets.
Food & Daily Supplies: Providing daily nourishment and special diets for all rescued dogs, cats, and other vulnerable animals residing in our sanctuary.
Shelter Rent & Utilities: Maintaining our physical sanctuary space—the only barrier keeping these defenseless animals safe from ongoing culling operations and street violence.
Emergency Rescue Operations: Funding vital rescue logistics, emergency transport, and essential medications to respond to animals in critical distress.
Sanctuary Staff Wages: Supporting the dedicated animal caregivers who work around the clock to feed, clean, administer medication, and rehabilitate our rescues.
How You Can Help
The animals in our sanctuary did not choose their circumstances, but we chose to step in and save them from brutal conditions. We cannot let a financial debt compromise the safe home we built for them.
Donate: Every donation—no matter the amount—directly reduces our £10,000 debt and helps us keep our doors open.
Share: If you cannot contribute financially, please share this campaign with fellow animal lovers to help us reach our goal.
Thank you for standing with Todd’s Welfare Society during this critical moment. Your support today will help clear our debts so we can continue saving lives from the streets.
Please donate today to help us clear our debt and protect vulnerable animals.
