Help TwoPoint4 Dance Theatre Get to LA

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for TwoPoint4 Dance Theatre! A leading contemporary dance company in Sacramento, our dancers have been asked to perform at the prestigious LA Dance Project space in Los Angeles. Alongside choreographer Derion Loman, this is an incredible honor and a testament to the dedication and passion of our artists.

At this critical moment in time, it's more important than ever to support the arts and the profound impact they have on our lives. The arts have the unique power to inspire, unite, and heal, providing solace, hope and a place for expression during challenging times. We believe that through dance, we can convey powerful messages, evoke emotions, and create meaningful connections that resonate with people from all walks of life.

Our performance will feature a captivating piece with five powerful dancers that explores the intricate relationship surrounding our laundry. Derion Loman takes a closer, soulful look at clothing, the memory of the people that wear it, and the residual energy they hold. This innovative and thought-provoking performance promises to be a touching and heart forward spectacle of contemporary dance and artistic expression.

However, to make this dream a reality, we need your help. Performing in Los Angeles is a significant undertaking, and there are various costs associated with such an endeavor. We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the following essential expenses:

1. Travel Costs: Ensuring that our dancers and creative team can make it to Los Angeles to bring this incredible performance to life. The estimated cost for two cars to travel 385mi one way, and a week of commuting around LA, as well as the drive home is approximately $500.

Per Diem: Providing our talented artists with the support they need during their time away from home. This will include food costs, any personal items that need to be bought, and self care services. Per Diem will be $75 per dancer for a total of $1,875.

Housing: Covering the cost of accommodation for our dancers and crew during their stay in Los Angeles is estimated at $1,000.

Costumes: Creating stunning and unique costumes that will enhance the visual storytelling of our performance. Sourcing materials and possible alterations will cost approximately $800.

Rehearsal Time: Allocating adequate rehearsal time to perfect every aspect of our piece and deliver a flawless performance. Estimated rate for space is $375.

Dancer Compensation: Fairly compensating our dedicated dancers for their hard work and commitment. Right now the rate for professional shows in LA for dancers is $500 per show. That adds up to $2,500.

Director and Choreographer pay: $1,500

Donors wanting to sponsor a single dancer's trip may choose the following amounts:
