This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write — but we’ve reached a point where we can’t do it alone.

For over two years, our household has been without consistent income due to the Hollywood strikes and the painfully slow rebound of production in the U.S. Even though the strikes have ended, much of the work has shifted overseas, and domestic jobs remain scarce. The industry we’ve depended on continues to be at a near standstill.

On top of that, I needed surgery and medical treatment late last year, which pulled me away from income opportunities.

We’ve spent our savings, cut back on every expense we can, and searched for side work — but after over two years, our reserves are gone.
