Dear Friends,
As some of you know, last week I had the opportunity to hear the stories of Rabbi Hanan and Noor A'Wad of Roots, a grassroots movement of understanding, nonviolence, and transformation among Israelis and Palestinians.
I was awed by the power of their stories, stories about their homeland, their ancestors, their identities, and their responsibilities; stories about being changed by listening; and stories about co-resistance and future-building. I felt these were the stories I needed to hear, the peace activists I needed to find.
I am so profoundly grateful for and moved by their work.
And I am asking you to join me in supporting it.
I have set a goal of raising $4,000 by this Thursday, March 7th. Can you please help?
The funds will be used to support the work of Roots, including their Northeast speaking tour here in the US, and the Dignity Center and its programs in the West Bank. You can learn a little bit more about their work by watching this two-minute video.
And, for those of you who are local, you can learn more by hearing Hanan and Noor speak this Thursday evening, March 7th at 6:30 pm, at the First Unitarian Church in Providence, RI. RSVP encouraged.
Thank you for considering supporting this incredible work.
In solidarity,
Sarah
