This is Egor, my nephew, he is 4 years old and should have a long life ahead of him with his loving family.
Unfortunately, he was just diagnosed with B-cell acute Lymphoblastic leukemia. This type of leukemia is life threatening and can progress very quickly if not treated in a timely manner. However, if the proper treatment is received timely, Egor will have a 90% chance to beat the illness, grow up and live his life to the fullest.
Egor lives with his parents and his sister in Siberia, in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Russia. In Russia, only medicine made by Russian manufacturers can be administered, and use of foreign medicine is banned. However, it has been well documented that medicine used in the USA is far more effective and does not have as many side effects.
Right now, he is hospitalized in a Regional Clinical Center in Krasnoyarsk and recently received his first chemo treatment. I have desperately made contacts with several hospitals in the USA, and the cancer research center in Texas, MD Anderson, has agreed to accept Egor for treatment. The fee for the initial tests and examination is around $30,000. I am trying to raise as much as I can to help bring Egor to the USA for treatment.
Egor is a very positive, sociable and enthusiastic little boy. Right now, he has strength and energy not only for children's fun and games, but also for more serious hobbies. Egor, with great curiosity and zeal, conducts natural science observations. He is interested in the life of insects, reptiles and amphibians. He is fascinated by fish; he can watch them for hours in the windows of pet stores and he loves to go to aquariums. Egor often surprises loved ones with his reasoning and new skills. To the great surprise of his parents, he is also an excellent break dancer (for a beginner) although he did not have any special training!
When asked the question, “What are you dreams?” he answers… “Ride on elephants!”
