Help Lay Kemauri Ziquan Blount to Rest & Support a Grieving Mother and Her Children
On February 1, 2026, a mother’s worst nightmare became reality once again when Kemauri Ziquan Blount, just 19 years old, lost his life to gun violence.
Kemauri was a son, a big brother, and a young man with his whole life ahead of him. He was deeply loved and mattered more than words can express. His absence has left a hole that will never be filled.
For his mother, Daniella Blount-Starnes, this loss is beyond unimaginable.
In December 2024, she buried her 12-year-old son, Messiah, who was also taken by a senseless act of gun violence. No parent should ever have to bury a child — and no parent should ever have to endure this pain twice.
Now, Daniella is grieving the loss of both her sons while trying to remain strong for the six children she still has at home, who are also mourning the loss of their brothers. Their lives have been forever changed.
This GoFundMe has been created to help support Daniella and her children as they face:
Funeral and memorial expenses for Kemauri
Immediate household and living needs during this time of crisis
The emotional and financial strain that follows such devastating loss
No amount of money can heal this pain — but support can help ease the burden so this family can grieve without the added weight of financial stress.
This fundraiser is being sponsored by M.A.R.C.U.S. (Mothers Advocating for Real Change and Unwavering Support), an organization that stands beside grieving mothers and families impacted by gun violence. M.A.R.C.U.S. is supporting Daniella Blount-Starnes during this time to help ensure care, transparency, and stability as she and her children navigate unimaginable loss.
Gun violence has stolen two young lives from this family.
It has left a mother shattered.
It has left siblings trying to make sense of a pain far too heavy for their hearts.
If you are able, please give.
If you are not, please share.
Every donation, prayer, and message of support is a reminder that this family is not alone — that Kemauri’s life mattered, that Messiah is remembered, and that love still exists even in the darkest moments.
Thank you for standing with Daniella Blount-Starnes and her children during the most painful chapter of their lives.
With gratitude and love,
The Blount Family
