Hello, I'm Erik Hemming, 66 year old Swede living on The Åland Islands. I used to be a language teacher.

Since I visited Uganda in November 2022, I have started helping two schools that I visited there a couple of days each. Mostly it is money that is needed, because those who work there, my friends since then, have the skills, energy and motivation that are needed.

I am now trying to collect money through the association SKOLSUPPORT. This is something positive I can do, this year, when so much news is bad. For sure we can change lives for the better! It was shocking to see how little people have in Uganda, while we have everything we need and then some. It doesn't take a lot of money to give children security, education and, above all, hope. Basic housing, school supplies, clean water, etc. can be obtained for surprisingly small amounts.

I remain in close communication with the schools' staff and supporters. All funds raised go directly to their business at 100%.
