Kristi and Peyton Knippel are the coolest couple on the PLANET!
The Situation:
Kristi has been experiencing symptoms for just over a year, but kept getting shut down in the Upstate New York medical arena. After several rounds of arguments (and recommendations to take all the Motrins), Kristi finally managed to convince her doctor to perform a biopsy and to everyone's dismay, it was Cancer.
Just a few weeks ago, Kristi Knippel was diagnosed with Aggressive Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The Oncology Center in Upstate New York was not able to get Kristi in for her first Cancer appointment for at least three weeks (WHAT-IN-THE-FRICK!?). Friends & Family rallied and many drinks were had...mainly by me.
Close friends and family members were able to get Kristi an Oncology appointment within days of receiving an initial diagnosis (There ARE awesome people in this world!). They scored an appointment at a World-Class oncology center in Utah.
Kristi is projected to be intermittently on chemotherapy and in Utah for the next Six Months. Kristi is in her second week of Chemo right now, but Peyton had to return to Upstate New York for administrative and military reasons.
Enter The Problem Set:
Peyton & Kristi live in Upstate New York where Peyton is finishing out his last year & a half of his 20 year military service in the United States Air Force. At this time, Peyton cannot be constantly by Kristi's side throughout their battle against Cancer.

Flying back and forth from Upstate New York & Utah has already proven costly to them, but Peyton intends to be by Kristi's side as often as possible. Peyton's military commanders are trying to get him temporary duty in Utah to help accommodate their situation.
Even if Peyton's Unit can get him temporary duty to Utah, his New York based bills don't magically disappear. Kristi is currently telecommuting for her work but may soon find it unfeasible while she is busy kicking Cancer's ass. Without Kristi working, they will lose a lot of money.
A Call To Action!
How do I help? Great question! Right now, I need you to be the coolest teammate and friend on the planet and help them out! Money: Give what you can give! At the very least, ask five of your friends to check out the Knippel's situation. If you are in the Upstate New York Region, Crossfit Syracuse will be hosting a fundraising WOD for Kristi & Peyton soon. Similar to your own chest, two Knippels should never be too far apart! Let's get these Knippels closer together!!!!!!

Their dog Chloe will sit here and stare at you until you donate!
Please give what you can!
