I'm Dani Lee Pearce, a 24yo trans singer/songwriter/producer and visual artist. Last month I moved to Pittsburgh originally just to visit and stay with my friend Raine Fiona, a 36yo nb ex-community organizer who ive known for a long time and are like family to me, while i figured out how to relocate fully to a different city, but was unable to solidify a solid living place there and am now with her. Both of us ended up having to escape the house we were originally staying at due to it becoming unsafe due to abuse. The people we then moved in with for safety turned out to ALSO be abusive, and we are again unsafe and needing to again escape. (Exact abuse we have gone through will be listed in another post for trigger concerns)
We don't know anyone else in Pittsburgh so we are planning to either relocate to either Philly, Buffalo, or another city within that vicinity if possible. We are trying to get a car that we can easily live out of if absolutely necessary for independent transportation purposes and are also hoping we can raise up enough money to be able to solidify us a good long term living space in either city. We are both disabled and are unable to work regular grind jobs, but Raine makes about $500 a month and I make at least $90 a month from my music and patreon.
We also currently have roughly $1000 saved up for the car.
By contributing more to that and my work I can build up enough solid regular income so that eventually I hopefully won't have to make another post like this again. But the amount that we ask for in this fundraiser will provide us a much needed cushion to cover for the most essential and urgent needs.
