My name is B, and I’m starting this fundraiser to help my parents as they face some incredibly difficult medical challenges.

My dad was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure, stage 4 kidney failure, cirrhosis of the liver, and several other serious complications. At the same time, my mom has been diagnosed with bone cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments. She is also a stage 4 colon cancer survivor. Despite everything she has endured, she continues to remain positive, hopeful, and focused on the future. However, with my dad’s health declining, she worries more about him than she does about herself.

For those who know my parents, you know their love story is something truly special. They have known each other since they were small children. They have been married for 57 years, but they have been each other’s everything for over 67 years. Their love is the reason the movie UP has always been my favorite, it reminds me so much of them. They are truly two bodies sharing one soul.

My mom actually asked me to start this GoFundMe because the road ahead is going to be incredibly challenging. The costs for transportation to treatments, medical procedures, medications, and the many other needs that come with serious illness are quickly adding up.

As their daughter, it’s heartbreaking to watch both of my parents going through this while each one worries more about the other than themselves. They have spent their entire lives taking care of everyone around them, and now they need a little help.
