Help Us Build a Rescue That Rural Animals Can Count On
Hi, we’re Chris and Dakota.
If you’ve followed our journey, you’ve probably seen us loading scared dogs into our Tahoe, searching mountainsides for abandoned puppies, helping families keep the pets they love, or answering calls that come in at all hours of the day and night. Animal rescue isn’t something we do when it’s convenient—it’s become our life.
We live in rural Kentucky, where too many animals fall through the cracks. Shelters are often full, rescues are stretched thin, and many families simply can’t afford food or basic veterinary care for the pets they love. Instead of turning away, we show up.
Sometimes that means hiking through the woods to catch frightened dogs. Sometimes it’s trapping an escaped cat, bottle-feeding orphaned kittens, or driving hours to transport an animal to safety. Other times, the greatest rescue is delivering dog food or cat food to a family that’s struggling financially so they never have to surrender their pet in the first place.
We believe that keeping families together is just as important as rescuing abandoned animals.
Over the past months, we’ve helped rescue countless dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens while building relationships with foster homes, veterinarians, transport volunteers, and rescue organizations across Kentucky. We don’t do this for recognition—we do it because every animal deserves someone willing to fight for them.
Fuel, food, medical supplies, crates, flea prevention, emergency veterinary care, and transportation costs add up quickly. Even so, when the phone rings, we answer.
Our dream is to create an official nonprofit rescue organization that can serve our community for years to come. Becoming a registered 501(c)(3) will allow us to grow, build partnerships, apply for grants, and create a sustainable rescue that can help even more animals long into the future.
Your donation will help us:
• Establish our nonprofit organization and complete our 501(c)(3) paperwork.
• Rescue abandoned, abused, and neglected animals.
• Provide emergency veterinary care, vaccinations, and medications.
• Purchase dog food and cat food for families experiencing hardship.
• Supply fosters with crates, leashes, food, and other essentials.
• Cover transportation costs to move animals to safety and reputable rescue partners.
• Continue responding wherever we’re needed most.
Every donation—whether it’s $5 or $500—moves us one step closer to building something that will outlast us: a rescue dedicated to giving animals a second chance and helping families stay together.
If you’re unable to donate, you can still make a tremendous difference by sharing this fundraiser. Every share helps our story reach someone else who believes that every animal deserves compassion, safety, and hope.
Thank you for believing in our mission and for standing beside us as we build something bigger than ourselves.
With gratitude,
Chris & Dakota
