Our beautiful friend Aliyah is currently facing one of the hardest chapters of her life. She has been in and out of hospitals locally and in Melbourne, receiving ongoing treatment and tests, fighting with a strength and courage that honestly leaves all of us in awe. Through every long night, every appointment, and every moment of uncertainty, her fiancée Ellie has been right by her side, holding her hand, advocating for her, and refusing to leave her to face any of this alone.

But being by Aliyah’s side has meant Ellie has needed to take extended time off work, and the financial strain on top of the emotional stress has become incredibly heavy. With two incomes reduced, they’re now struggling to keep up with mortgage repayments, travel to and from the hospital, accommodation and the basic day-to-day costs of living, all while trying to stay strong and hopeful in the middle of something no one should ever have to go through.

I’ve created this fundraiser because Aliyah and Ellie are the kind of people who show up for everyone else, always, and now they’re the ones who need help. Even the smallest donation or a simple share would mean more than words can say. It will help lift some of the weight off their shoulders so they can focus on healing, supporting each other, and finding moments of peace in such a heartbreaking time.
