Help for the Walker family…

Justin (18) and Jackson (12) both were born with Sickle Cell Anemia. Throughout their lives, they have had many surgeries, hospital stays, and transfusions. God has bless them to both be able to receive a bone marrow transplant. Jackson received his on November 13,2020 and is now in recovery and living a life Sickle Cell free, Justin who is 18 had his August 13, 2021…we are a family of five…along with the boys, there is my self of course, my daughter Endia Marie who is 8 and my husband James…who was the transplant donor for BOTH of our boys…Jackson went through his transplant with few complications, but over all, it went get…he is now going on 14 months out of his transplant…and getting back to regular life as much as possible…Justin on the other hand, has had almost anything that can be a challenge happen to him…two days before he was due to be discharged from his transplant, he had a stroke…which then caused him to have continuous seizures for two days…which in turn caused him to be sedated and put on a ventilator for two and a half weeks…when he was awakened, due to all of the seizure and sedation  meds he was on, he had to start physical, occupational, and speech therapy…learning how to walk and talk again and get his strength back…he stayed in the hospital for an additional seven weeks…when he finally got discharged, he had to go back a week after thanksgiving because he got Covid due to a weakened immune system and going back and forth to out patient therapy three to four times a week…he stayed in the hospital for a week…and now he is back in the hospital for complications with a common issue from the transplant know as GVHD( Graft vs Host disease)…he has been here for a week now and we are not too sure when he will be getting discharged…‍♀️ Ok with ALL of that being said…here is where we could use your help…while we were in the hospital…I say “we” because I have been the bedside parent…we received a letter from our landlord, thinking it was a lease renewal because our lease was due to end November 30, 2021…but instead it was a lease NON RENEWAL…giving us only 12 days AFTER the end of our lease to vacate…I called my landlord to see what was going on…he said that he was sick and didn’t want to leave the burden of rental property on his family so he was going to sale all of them… I reminded him of all the things we were going through and wondered why he would give us such little time to find a place especially since this is the third property we have rented with him…he decided to give us a little more time…he gave us until January 20, 2022…that’s better but still really not much help…with me being the bedside parent, I can not work and my husband working 12 hours just to make sure we can afford to pay rent, on top of him taking care of the other two we have at home…we really have no time to look for a place…I found a few places and one in particular that we felt was great for us, but they were not able to wait, so they rented out to someone else…now our credit is not the best because we’ve had to quit jobs over the years or gotten let go because of the health of the boys with them in and out of the hospital…and with sickle cell at any given moment they could have fallen ill…but we do what we have to even go without necessities to make sure we keep a roof over our babies heads… so we basically have less than three weeks to find a place for our family…we are use to not much help and doing it all on our own…because we know we have to do whatever we have to for these three children of ours, but we are in a bind…between a rock and a hard place…at the worst possible time in our lives…so we have no other choice but to ask for help…I don’t know what help will come our way, but I wanted to get our story out there and maybe just maybe someone will be will to rent to us and not charge an arm and a leg for the move-in…Please Please Please let us know if someone can be of any help getting the word out to any private landlords maybe…
