Help the Perez Family

Story

For the past 3 years Maggie has fought through 6 blood transfusions, 4 surgeries, numorous CT scans, doctors appointments, and over 25 radiation, chemo and clinical trial experiental treatments. Maggie was diagnosed with stage 2 cervical cancer October of 2013. She spent the last months of that year in and out of the City of Hope hospital. She recieved treatments in hopes of shrinking the tumor in her cervics. January of 2014 after finishing treatment, Maggie was put in remission and was asked to come back every six months to keep and eye on the cancer to make sure it did not return. The doctors stressed the first 2 years are the most crucial and if the cancer returned, it would be stage 4. Her last CT scan February of 2015 informed Maggie that her cancer was back. It had spread to her lymph nodes and chest, and just as the doctors said, it was stage 4. A year has passed since we found out this misfortune and during that time Maggie has had almost double the treatments from the first two years, suffered losing all of her hair, and has lost at least 20 pounds. There had been no sign of improvement so Maggie was instructed to try a clinical trial experimental treatment. The doctors are currently trying to shrink her tumors in hopes of stopping them from spreading and causing further complications in her body. Maggie does not want to be defined by her cancer. She does not want to let it control her life. Please give her the opportunity to spend as much time with her family as possible without the stress of overwhelmingly expensive hospital bills and future expenses. Thank you such much for your love and support.
