In Chicago, Illinois during the Chosen Few House Party Picnic.
At 7 years of age, my twins wanted to do something to spread joy in the lives of other children. In 2011 they came up with the idea of running a lemonade stand with all proceeds going toward purchasing toys for LaRabida Children's Hospital.
La Rabida is a pediatric specialty hospital for extended acute care that caters to children with lifelong medical conditions.
In previous years the twins used the proceeds to purchase almost every item from the hospital's wish list. They have bought laptops, an air hockey table, push cars, video games, and several interactive games for patients of various ages.
