I am trying to raise money for a very sweet cat to get a CT scan of a facial mass and any further treatment. February 2025, I bought a house. It came with a sweet 16 year old orange boy named Twinkle. When I moved in, he had a small wound near his eye. I took him to the vet several times to treat the wound. It kept getting larger and deeper. After multiple failed attempts of healing with medication, the vet decided to sedate Twinkle and thoroughly clean the wound. During the procedure, the vet realized that the outer portion of the wound looked good but the deep portion was infected down to the bone and spread to his eye. She suggested the removal of his eye. I was shocked, as this was just supposed to be a wound cleaning. I decided to go ahead with the procedure because nothing else was working. Everything was healing well from the surgery but after a few days a noticed a tiny bump on the bridge of Twinkle's nose. I brought him back in to get it checked out. The vet said that it is likely a reaction from the sutures and gave him some medication. The bump quickly grew and I took him back in. They did some tests and gave more medication. It continued to grow. Another round of medication. The mass has continued to grow and ruptured over the weekend. Today, I took Twinkle back to the vet for x-rays. They weren't able to see anything helpful and said that he needs a CT scan. I was referred to another vet practice for the scan. He has an appointment to get it done next Tuesday and it will be $2,300. I just really hope that the scan will give some answers so that he can be treated properly and heal quickly. He is such a sweet boy. Thank you for reading his story!
