Twilah Needs A Christmas Miracle

Hi my name is Hannah and I am trying to raise money for my sweet baby girl, Twilah. I got her at a meat market in South Korea when I was living there for a year after high school. Twilah and I have grown up together and she is my whole world. She has been by my side and helped me through so many challenges, including brain surgery, where she stayed in the rehab facility with me for the entire 17 days I was there, even though dogs were not allowed. She is such a sweet and well behaved angel that they welcomed her presence. She also completed the Master Trainers course at National K-9 with me when I decided to become a certified professional dog trainer. She is fully trained in assistance and scent detection. We go everywhere together and she even comes to work with me everyday. I am a nanny for 2 boys who also love her very much. She truly brightens the hearts of everyone who meets her. Unfortunately, 2 years ago, she was diagnosed with EPI (exocrine pancreatic insufficiency). We have been able to manage her condition well with specific medications and supplements and diet. However, she recently started losing weight. We did a blood panel to try and figure out why and found out that her blood platelets were dangerously low. They should be 200k or higher and hers are at 13k. Because of the EPI, it seems her immune system is too ramped up and started attacking her own blood platelets. They did a chest x-ray and ultrasound and her chest cavity is filling with blood because she has no clotting capabilities with so few platelets and she is at risk for her brain hemorrhaging. The estimate for her treatment in $4-7k so I made the goal $6k to hopefully cover the cost of the treatment she needs. We highly appreciate anything you can offer. I need Twilah to come home. Leaving her at the ER yesterday was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. She is the sweetest soul that has ever existed, she's also quite a comedian. Honestly the silliest and sweetest pup you could ever meet. She has lots of presents under the tree and one of her favorite things to do is open presents.
