Twila Jane's Healing Fund
Donation protected
Twila Jane is a self-employed dancer, musician, artist, community builder and mother now in dire circumstances due to a severe injury.
Twila needs our help.
On August 1, 2019, while filming a music video, Twila fell and detached a hamstring muscle from her hipbone. This is a rare, painful, and debilitating injury.
It was a month later, due to bureaucratic complications, that she underwent an operation to reattach the hamstring. Between the injury and surgery her leg has severely atrophied.
Recovery will take a long time, weeks in bed and many months of therapy.
Twila cannot perform or teach and is struggling to keep her studio operating and make ends meet. She has cancelled all her teaching and performing gigs, including a tour of India and Malaysia.
Twila’s contributions to our community are invaluable. Her studio, Electric Nomad, is an extension of who she is. It serves as a community center, school and performance space, where dance, the visual arts, progressive politics and healing converge. She sponsors a scholarship program.

We are trying to raise $20,000 to help Twila heal as fully as possible. Your contribution will help pay for her surgery, on going medical bills, physical therapy as well as her living and studio expenses while she is unable to work.
There is no support available through a business insurance claim or temporary disability through the government.
We need Twila. We need her to heal. We need Electric Nomad.
Thank you for your support and contributions.
