September 30, 2015 was the day my life changed forever, I heard the words "you have Stage 4 Breast Cancer". Those are words I never thought I'd hear, ever. I am 32 years old and a mom of 2 daughters. Alexis is 12 years old and Lizzie is 5 years old. Once this started to sink in I wondered to myself "am I going to live to watch them grow up?" But then I met my amazing doctors and nurses at Hamot and the Regional Cancer Center. They told me this is not a death sentence and they aren't putting a toe tag on me. This is going to be a long and rough fight, but it's doable. So now I am under going 6 months of chemo (3 weeks on and 1 week off) then possible radiation. And then after all of that comes the possible surgeries, double masctomy and I'm either having my ovaries removed or a full hysterectomy. So this is why I am creating this page. Tomorrow is my last day of work and it could be a year before I return. So I am asking for your help for medical bills, and my actual daily bills to get me through this tough journey. Anything will help at this point. And I want to thank everyone for your support, the prayers, the kind words, the home cooked meals on my chemo days, the gifts I receive at every treatment, and the many cards. They make the fight much easier. I know I am not alone in the fight!!!
