Get Emily a Golf Cart To Help Her
Donation protected
My name is Todd and my daughter, Emily has Down Syndrome. The kids at her school are the absolute best to her, but, she recently wrote us a "speech" about how she feels. She wrote that she doesn't feel like she belongs right now. Her friends are getting their driving permits and some are getting their drivers licenses. We talked to her about her taking a test to get her permit and the driving test and she got confused. She thought you just got into a car an you could drive.
I thought maybe she could get a golf cart so she felt like she could feel more like the other friends in her class and so that she could feel like she "belonged" more. She would certainly only ride while her mom or me was riding with her-for her safety sake.
We can't afford a new golf cart, let alone a used one.
I just want our baby girl to feel more like the other kids right now.
If we should go over the goal, we will spend that on Emily for some physical handicaps she has as well.
Thank You so very much,
Todd
