Twana's Fearless Fight
Donation protected
Twana Ellis, wife, mother of 4, nana to 8, was diagnosed with MS over 15 years ago and if this wasn't enough, she was then diagnosed with GIST Cancer less than 5 years later.
She has been courageously fighting and defying all odds while battling these two terrible diseases. When she was first diagnosed with GIST, she was told she has 3 years. She has fought so hard and never once given up so here we are over 10 years later. She has gone through numerous surgeries and oral chemotherapy's and has been willing to try anything and everything to keep pushing for her family. To give you an idea on how hard she has been fighting, her doctor said she has been his longest GIST patient and has gone through the most treatments.
We could not be more proud of her fight and determination, but at this point all treatments have been exhausted and there is nothing more that can be done. Due to hospitals and facilities currently having no visitor policies because of covid, she will be doing in-home hospice care to ensure she can still be surrounded by loved ones. Throughout the fight medical bills and expenses have piled high as some treatments have not been covered by insurance and in-home hospice will only be partially covered. We want to relieve the stress and make sure her remaining time is as enjoyable as possible.
Thank you so much for your love, support and prayers during this time.
