Grayson's Top Surgery Fund

Donation protected
Hello esteemed friends, family members, colleagues, acquaintances, internet strangers, and kind people just looking to help another person out!

Please help me **get something off my chest** and raise the funds necessary for my top surgery on July 8!!

For those of you who are a little unfamiliar with what top surgery is, allow me to shed a little light on the subject and what it means to me! In the trans community, "top surgery" can be used to refer to all kinds of different surgeries involving the chest. For some, this is a reduction or reconstruction. For others, this can mean the removal of nearly all breast tissue.

I fall into the "take it all away" category and will be having a double-incision mastectomy with nipple grafts.  (Did you know that nipples cost money??)

I have been looking forward to this surgery since way before I even knew I was trans and could get a surgery like this. I thought I'd always have to live with these useless-to-me sacks of fat on my chest.

Before I had the language to explain my gender dysphoria, I thought I would always be "stuck" and that I was the only one who felt this way. For the past 2 years, I have been fortunate enough to receive gender-affirming care by way of hormone therapy. Being on testosterone has saved my life, and I am more than ready for top surgery; the next step in my medical transition.

I have jumped through all of the hoops for my insurance company, city, and state. I have been given the go-ahead by everyone and my team of doctors is ready to get to work! My only remaining barrier to this life-changing surgery is the cost.

My well-documented social and medical transition on YouTube  and other social media platforms has been a rollercoaster ride of excitement, embarrassment, goofiness, anxiety, joy, and celebration of butt hair (if you know, you know).

I'm grateful that you all have come along for the ride and made my social transition one full of  love and support. Please consider donating to help me take the next step in my medical transition.

As always, if you have any questions about what being trans means for me or any other trans-related questions (keeping in mind that I'm not a spokesperson for all TGNC people), feel free to reach out via carrier pigeon, sky writing, smoke signals, or modern technology.

Thank you all so much for reading this far and supporting me!! Even if you can't donate, please share this fundraiser so I can meet my goal and chop my tots! Sending love to each of you.

Trans healthcare is extremely inaccessible in the U.S. and thousands of Trans and Gender Non-Conforming (TGNC) folks die every year due to the discrimination our community faces. Insurance companies, employers, and lawmakers discriminate against our community by ensuring that life-saving, gender-affirming care is out of our reach. One of the ways these folks have made it inaccessible is through cost. If you don't donate to my fundraiser, please donate to another trans person on this site. Everyone deserves to feel at-home in their body.
