As some of you know my brother and sister – in law are missionaries in Haiti. While they have had some incredible God moments through the years the story of Waldy may be the most incredible.

John and Christi found/took in a 2 year old boy that was given up by his parents in an act of love. Waldy had fluid on his brain (hydrocephalus), a death sentence for a child in Haiti. The boy's birth parents we believe live on the island of Tortuga so to get him to Haiti is an extremely expensive journey in a 3rd world  country. But Waldy’s parents gathered the money and sent their beloved son to Haiti in hopes of getting him medical treatment and saving his life, knowing they most likely would never see him again.  While the boy's parents gave him up and abandoned him on the footsteps of a hospital, they did it out of a great heart of love. He was left by his parents just as Moses was in hopes that he could live a better and more fulfilling life.

Fast forward to today. Waldy was able to have the lifesaving surgery that he needed in Port-au-Prince and is now living at the House of Moses in Port au Paix (my brother mission http://www.houseofmoses.tv/ ) recovering.  He is a vibrant little boy who has a long road of recovery ahead of him but God is working miracles daily in his life. 

The money raised with your help will go towards the at-home nurse and medical attention that is and will be required for Waldy.
