- Hi, my name's Erica, I'm 39, and I'm a single mom to 2 amazing boys. In April of 2024, I found a lump in my breast and by June 2024 (at age 38), I was diagnosed with Stage 1b breast cancer. I had 5 months of chemo and completed both a BL mastectomy and reconstruction at the end of 2024.
- I was off of work for 10 weeks which racked up a lot of debt.
- I will now be receiving just over 3 weeks of radiation.
- Following radiation I have to be on monthly medication to reduce my estrogen to try and prevent the cancer from reoccurring.
- With the medical bills, the time I had to be off work for surgery, and trying my hardest to let my boys be kids, things are a bit hard financially. I greatly appreciate any little bit of help.
