Jack's Amputation

Hello! My name is Jack!

I'm a one year old cat. My mom raised me since I was only 2 weeks old! My mom adopted a dog from the shelter recently. She tried to keep me away from him, but I snuck in the room and he reached through the crate and grabbed my leg and pulled it off. I'm currently in the hospital and the doctors are doing everything they can to help me. There was a piece of my leg still there, but they had to amputate it and do all kinds of things to clean it out and make sure I don't catch an infection. The vet said I'm a very healthy boy, and I didn't lose a lot of blood so I don't need a blood transfusion. Because of the state of the tissue around my leg, it was a very complicated surgery. Im having to stay in the hospital now because I have an infection in my leg now. Im fighting really hard to beat this, but Ive been dealt a difficult hand because of the situation and we need help ensuring that Im able to get the care I need. Anything helps! Thank you!
