Single mom of 2 hit by drunk driver

Friday morning my mom left excited to go to work and finish the first week of her new job as a Staffing Cordinator at a nursing home here in San Antonio. She has been a LVN for over 10 years, and as a single mother of two daughters, she has been slaving as a floor nurse all these years. This new position was a well deserved recognition of all her hard work and dedication to her career. So finishing this first week off was a big milestone for her. Only she did not return home that night. A little worried, my sister and I texted her sharing our concern. No response. Next morning, (saturday) still nothing. So we then tried calling her and her phone went straight to voicemail. Attempting to be optimistic, we reassure eachother that she probably stayed at a friends house and slept in. The day passes and its now time for bed, still no arrival and response. We then made plans to call police the next morning. (Since you have to wait 48 hours till filing a missing person's report.) Next morning, (sunday) still nothing. So it was then that I started posting the picture of her below just explaining the situation, what she drives, etc. And if anyone hears or sees anything to contact me. A few hours later, I get a message notifying me of a news report covering an accident involving a Hummer. (Which is what she drives.) I then looked up the report, saw the picture of a silver Hummer upside down, and continued to read the report which is below for reference. I read how she was hit by a drunk driver who is now thankfully behind bars. He had no car insurance coverage and drove a giant Ford F250. The Hummer that my mother worked so hard to obtain is now totaled and is under a hold for investigation. I broke into tears as I dialed the hospital in which the report said this unknown woman was located. They then told me my mother, Martina Ortiz, was in fact there.  I then rushed to call my family and headed over to the hospital where she is currently in ICU with broken bones, internal bleeding in her liver, which has been operated on, a cracked skull, bones exposed in every toe, and scrapes from the road when she flew out of the vehicle. There are plans for another opertation on her arm on Tuesday due to multiple broken bones in her right arm. My mother is a hard worker and has always done everything to keep her family living as best as possible. Right now, its up to us to maintain not only her house bills, but now medical expenses, as she is expected to be bed written for months. She has always held the fort down for her children, now its our turn to do it for her. But we need help. Please, every donation counts.
