Wayne's Melanoma Fund
Donation protected
My name is David Williams, and Wayne Williams is my cousin. It seems like a life time ago, now, when Wayne and I were in the Everglades building wooden ladders for a pump station project we were on, one hot summer day. I vividly remember how impossible it was to escape the heat, and the burning sun. Wayne and I would pass the time by talking about the future. I always had a passion for computers and expressed great interest in them around Wayne. On that particular day, Wayne looked at me and said, "Why don't you quit this line of work and go do something with computers". No one had ever really been so blunt like that with me before. That hot summer day, Wayne planted a seed in my mind that blossomed over time. I owe much of my career success to the simple words he said to me that day.
Wayne inspired me, and I'd love to hear more fun stories in the comments of this campaign from those who know and love Wayne like I do.
As most of my family knows by now, Wayne has been diagnosed with Melanoma. Melanoma is a very agrressive form of cancer and Wayne is undergoing immediate treatment to battle it.
Wayne just had surgery to remove some of the cancer, but needs to go back in next week for another procedure.
Like many of us, Wayne wasn't prepared financially for this type of life event. Thankfully Wayne has insurance to cover the bulk of the costs for treatment, however, it comes along with a $5,000 USD deductible. Our immediate need is to raise the $5,000. The other $5,000 or any funds that exceed $10,000 total will go towards his living expenses and other Misc. expenses.
I would like to see my family and friends of Wayne raise enough to keep him out of the sun and off the job site so he can focus purely on his recovery and well being.
Please help however you can. My brother Paul and I will keep this updated on a regular basis.
