Maddie is 3 year old ray of sunshine diagnosed with severe Autism. Maddie loves Bubble Guppies, Team Umizoomi, and jumping on a trampoline. Maddie requires help to communicate as she has a very limited vocabulary as well as help with coping and anxiety. Maddie has no sense of danger and will often attempt to dart away. Her mother is a single mom of 2 toddlers and works as a nurse as well as is taking special training in communication and cognition.
Maddies' Doctor feels that a service companion dog will help Maddie have more freedom and acceptance as well as help her manage her emotion and ultimately learn to communicate her wants and needs more effectively.
