Medical Fund for Ms. Puffer

Hi,

I am a senior at Benilde-St. Margaret’s School in the Twin Cities.  Ms. Puffer has been an art teacher at my school for the last 20 years.  She is an amazing teacher and has dedicated her life to art education, has a clear love for teaching and a passion for seeing her students succeed.  She is a successful working potter and a true artist. 

Two weeks before spring break Ms. Puffer had to take an unexpected medical leave and has not been able to return to school and her students.  Ms. Puffer has an aggressive form of melanoma.  The most effective form of treatment requires daily radiation appointments with side effects that can be extreme. 

In September Ms. Puffer’s current insurance coverage will expire.  Staying on Cobra insurance is essential to her receiving the costly treatment needed to help her extend her life.  It will cost approximately $15,500 to cover 18 months of Cobra insurance coverage. 

I am asking fellow students, friends and community members to assist her during this difficult time.  Please show your love and support by donating to the medical fund so we can lighten some of the stress and she can focus on enjoying her family.

All funds will go directly to Ms. Puffer.
