Hi, my name is Rachel. My parents have hit some really hard times and could use any help they can get.

My dad has had ongoing back/neck issues for 30 years. He had neck surgery in July. He has been out of work since then and at this point has stopped bringing any money in. They are depending on my mom’s fixed income to get them through. He now needs to have back surgery in December. However, his job unexpectedly terminated him because he can’t work at 100% yet. He is considered ‘unemployable’ because he can’t work so collecting unemployment is not an option. At this time, he doesn’t have insurance to cover his upcoming surgery. Hopefully, he can get insurance by then but that doesn’t help with the fact that he has no income.

Then, Sunday a freak accident happens. A car comes through their yard totaling one of their cars and leaving his truck with damage. If the woman has insurance then the truck will eventually get fixed and they will get some money for the car. But, it won’t replace the car completely and without my dad working they have no extra money to contribute.

My parents are struggling right now, and they don’t need to suffer anymore. Any little bit would help them, even if that is simply a share. Thank you for reading!
