Hi I am Craig and I am raising money for a wheelchair accessible bike so my disabled daughter can join in with her foster family when they go on bike rides. My daughter Lillie is nearly 3 years old and has Spina bifida, she is paralysed from the waist down. Lillie loves being outside, she lives with a foster family in the forest and has two foster brothers. They go on bike rides most weekends as they live right next to a cycle track that goes through the forest. The bike will enable Lillie to join in with the activity whilst feeling the wind in her hair and listening to the sounds around her. Lillie would not be able to have this experience without an adaptive bike but they come with a very heavy price tag. Her foster brother is doing a 5k walk with his friends to raise funds to go towards the bike but we really need extra help from who ever can support us in getting funds for the bike.
