Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help. My sweet boy Ranger, my loyal companion for the last 11 years, needs urgent surgery to remove five painful bladder stones. These stones are making it difficult and dangerous for him to live comfortably, and without this surgery, his life is at risk.
Ranger and I have always had a special bond—we’re two peas in a pod. Ironically, we’re alike in more ways than one. Just like Ranger, I’ve battled with kidney stones over the years and had to undergo three surgeries to remove them. Now, my best friend is facing a similar battle, and I feel helpless watching him suffer.
While I’m still paying off my own medical debt from those surgeries, Ranger’s medical costs are adding up quickly. His surgery, post-operative care, and the new prescription food he’ll need to prevent future stones total $9,000. It’s more than I can manage alone, but I’m determined to do everything I can to give Ranger the care he deserves.
Ranger has been my constant companion through life’s ups and downs. He’s brought so much love, joy, and comfort to my life, and I want to do the same for him now. I hate to ask for help, but I know I can’t do this without your support.
Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others would be just as helpful. Every little bit brings us closer to getting Ranger the care he needs and back to his happy, tail-wagging self.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for any help you can give. Ranger and I are forever grateful for your kindness and generosity.
With love, Ranger and family.
Updates:
Monday: been home for 24 hours. Peeing well but still a little blood at the end of the stream. Vet said nothing to worry about though. Goodnight!
Sunday: surgery went well. No complications. We saw him in the morning and he ate for us. Came back in the evening and fed him again. They released him to us because he was more comfortable with us than at the ER.
Saturday: 8:30pm back to the ER because he couldn’t pee again. Surgery is moved to tonight.
Friday: consulted with primary vet and scheduled surgery for Monday.
Thursday: ER because he was in pain and not peeing. Pushed stone back and said he needs surgery.
