The Hodges family

Hi Everyone! On Monday October 17 Jonny went into the woods to hunt. While up in the tree stand a strap snapped and he fell 20 feet to the ground. He managed to call 911 and was lifeflighted to the hospital. He doesnt remember a lot of what happened. His wife was able to go see him that night  and he's pretty banged up. He's in a neck brace and had several staples in his head from a deep  laceration. He has two fractured ribs and there is a pocket of air on the outside of his lung that is making it hard for him to keep his oxygen above 90 without them giving him oxygen. They will be placing a tube today to help relieve pressure. They will also be going in on 10/19 for surgery on his pelvis. What happen essentially is the force from the impact of the fall had shoved his right femur bone into the socket of his pelvis joint and it shattered it significantly and instead of cracking it it snapped. There is two places on his spine lumbar that are fractured that they are hoping will heal on their own so that they don’t have to do surgery on his lower back but they are still monitoring.  His doctors have told his wife his recover is going to be extensive, and he will absolutely need physical therapy after surgery.

His wife Jessica, " Upon heading back to the waiting room last night I was stopped by one of the doctors and he told me that he was shocked he had never seen anything like this before that my husband was a miracle because of the way he fell he should have extensive brain damage but instead is completely coherent. But let me tell you MY GOD CAN!!! Just thank the Lord for his protection and his hand in all this. I want to thank each and everyone of you whether I’ve spoken to you directly or indirectly or a friend of a friend for all of your prayers and your thoughts and your support during this overwhelming and difficult time. As I’m able to give updates I will when I can but I just ask that you please be patient with me as I’m giving them as soon as I hear anything. All this is very overwhelming! But I believe we will see the other side of this. Please continue to keep us in your prayers! With Love!"

Jonny is the sole provider for their family of five. He will be out of work until he's cleared by doctors. Any money will help as it will go towards taking care of their family and his medical expenses. Thank you for helping in whatever way you can and thank you for the continued prayers during this time.
