Help Tito fight cancer

Dear family, friends, and community, our beloved Tito was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. None expected this since he has always been the most healthy, active, happy, and full of joy person we know. Anyone lucky to meet him knows what a beautiful human, how caring, loving, and supportive he’s always been.

Tito has dedicated his life to fighting for social justice and sustainable development. This 76-year-old social scientist has spent most of his life working as a public servant, traveling around Peru to address harvesters, mine-workers, fishermen, artisan women, among other socially and financially unprivileged communities’ needs. He has also been a researcher and professor in different universities in Peru, contributing to future professionals’ knowledge. Tito is the most inspiring and generous man; the best dad to five children, a fantastic spouse, brother, son, friend, and colleague. We have no doubts that his caring and joyful soul have touched anyone who knows him.

Very unfortunately, Tito now has to fight for his own life. He has gone through two surgeries and, in addition to his life-saving treatment (chemotherapy), will have to face a third operation in a few months. The monetary costs have surpassed our capabilities, and we need your help.
