• “ Please consider contributing towards Tyler’s fight against cancer,
so he is able to provide for his 3 kids, go back to work as a licensed
electrician and small business owner in a continuous pursuit of his
dreams ,”
:
I’m a licensed electrician, a small business owner, and most importantly, a dad to three
incredible kids—two teenage daughters and a six-year-old son.
In August, I had surgery to remove a softball-sized tumor from my hip. Unfortunately, the
results showed it was a malignant sarcoma specifically the official diagnosis is a spindle cell neoplasm with sarcomatose transformations and positive margins. That last part is the scary bit. The margins are positive, which means cancer cells remain.
My prognosis is good and the cancer hasn’t metastasized and spread anywhere else.
I’m so fortunate for that but based on the numbers if I don’t do anything more there is about a 20% chance that it will and if it does it will 90% likely spread to my lungs and be fatal.
So the first phase is radiation treatment to fight this disease. Again my prognosis is good so long as the treatment is effective. Then I’ll go through several types of testing to determine if I need to proactively have a second surgery or if I can put that off until the tumor comes back should that happen.

I’ve always been a fighter, I have a strong faith, couple that with a great support system of family and friends that are family and I feel pretty confident that I’m going to get through this tough time.

I’ll keep you updated as I do but I’m going to let Cynthia take over from here.

The challenges: He lives 170 miles from the treatment center and he needs to get treatment 5 days a week for 8 consecutive weeks.
That distance means he will need to
make provisions for housing, lodging, meals, travel, and everyday expenses while undergoing months of radiation.
On top of that, as a dad, he’s responsible for providing for his three kids.
The bills at home don’t stop—rent, utilities, groceries, and school needs for his
children—all while facing overwhelming medical bills, upcoming treatment expenses, and being unable to work throughout the duration of treatment while likely having to take some time to
recover before being able to work the way he is used to and looks forward to being able to again.
What makes this even more challenging is that he doesn’t have the safety net that comes with a regular job. As a small business owner, there’s no paid sick leave, no disability coverage, and no backup paycheck coming in.

Even while he is unable to work, the business expenses keep
coming—insurance premiums, licensing, truck payments, and other operating costs.

Keeping his business alive is
critical, because it’s not just how he provides for his family now—it’s how he plans to provide
for them after he’s fought through this fight.
How donations will help:
• Safe lodging near the hospital during radiation/fuel to make the round trip each day
otherwise.
• Meals and groceries while away from home
• Travel costs for the 300+-mile round trips
• Copays, deductibles, and prescription medications not fully covered by insurance
• Household bills, utilities, and everyday expenses for the kids including braces IYKYK
• Business expenses, insurance premiums, and licensing fees that still need to be paid while
he’s unable to work
• Childcare and support while he focuses on recovery
• Extracurricular activities the kids are involved in

If you know Tyler you know how hard he has worked his whole life to support his family and
build his business, he never thought he’d be in the position of asking for help. It’s hard for him to do. To be honest he told me the day I helped make this that one of the hardest parts of this whole journey has been agreeing to let me set up a Go-Fund me for him. But right now, he can’t do this alone. Every donation—no matter the size—helps him stay focused on treatment and recovery instead of worrying about whether he’ll be able to afford to keep a roof over the kids’ heads, support his family, and keep his business afloat while paying for the care he needs.

If you can’t give financially, please consider sharing this page with others. And most of all, keep Tyler, his kids and the rest of his family in your thoughts and prayers.

“From the bottom of my heart—thank you for standing with us in this fight. It means so much
and will always be appreciated.”.
Sincere regards
—Tyler Taylor and family
