Support Daisy's Life-Saving Surgery
Donation protected
Daisy became part of our family about 6 months ago when we adopted her from the shelter right before she was scheduled to be put down. She fit right into our family. We adore her, our kids adore her, and she is the sweetest, most gentle dog I've ever known.
About a week ago, Daisy started to get very lethargic, stopped wanting to eat, and was throwing up. We thought it would pass, but it didn't. Today(10/11/2l), my husband and I took her to the vet, and they told us she has a pyometra, or an infected uterus filled with pus that, if left untreated, could rupture. The only treatment is surgery. The vet referred us to a few places that could do the surgery, and they all gave us quotes for about $3500. This isn't something close to what we can afford. I've never been one to reach out and ask other people for help, especially financial help, but I don't know what else to do. I don't even want to think about the alternative right now.
