- Hi, we are fund raising for the Magnuson family to help recover from their fire. Blaine and Kaitlin Magnuson lost their shop overnight on Oct 22nd. They are relieved that everyone is safe and that the fire department was able to contain the fire so that it didn't spread to the rest of the property. The building and contents have been ruled a total loss, however, because it was an "outbuilding", the insurance coverage is not the same as it would be for a residence. With rising building and living costs, they will be able to cover the cleanup and a new building with the entirety of the payout, but unable to replace the contents. The total contents accounted for over 60% of the of the family's belongings, both physically and monetarily. The shop was approx. 2300 sq ft., 2 story finished building that housed Blaine's woodshop downstairs and the upstairs contained a reloading area, gym equipment, office space, storage for Christmas decorations, hunting and camping equipment, and all the kid's winter clothes for this year. The hardest part has been the loss of all of their late daughter Josephine's belongings, and other sentimental items, including a rifle Blaine's father had given him, wood tools handed down from grandpa Don and grandpa Paul, handmade ornaments from Kaitlin's great aunts, and mom. As well as a liberty safe with Blaine's firearms and all their yard/garden equipment riding mower, rototiller. Anything would be greatly appreciated,
