Tuskegee Macon County ReadtoME Program

The T.I.H.S. Class of 1974 is intent upon leaving a legacy of support of their birthplace and its future and our appreciation and remembrance of our ancestors such as Lewis Adams.

Reading is the fundamental foundation for learning. We want to identify, locate and engage with every 3-5 year old child, family, and community in Macon County to create an atmosphere that breeds a love of Reading.

We plan on doing this by forming a partnership with Macon County Head Start Program and the Tuskegee Public Library to provide books for intended audience and introduce young kids and their family to the library. We want to partner with major stakeholders in the community such as businesses and churches for their understanding/guidance/support.
