Turtle's Safe Return: Join the Search

Please Help Us Find Turtle!

Turtle went missing about five days ago. My friend, Kelly Hazel, was in the process of moving when Turtle slipped out, and went to the wrong door to try to get back inside.

The apartment complex was notified and sent a mass text to residents, but unfortunately the message did not reach Turtle’s mom.

Animal control was contacted with the expectation that they could check for a chip and list her on the Found Pet webpage, based on information on their website.

Instead, the responding Animal Control Officer drove several miles away and dumped her in the woods at the intersection of Rocky Slope Road and Verdae Blvd. Turtle is strictly an inside cat and will likely hunker down in the woods unable to find her way home.

Kelly has organized an active search coordinating with pet trapping experts and has invested in equipment like trail cameras, traps, fliers, food, and other necessities.

Any equipment purchased to help find turtle will be donated to the non-profit pet rescue/reunification organizations helping in the search.
